Sizzix meets Vintaj....

I was playing in my studio recently with the Sizzix Deco Embossing folders for Vintaj and created one of my first pieces of jewelery. I have to say how much fun I had creating this wearable work of art! I was very impressed with just how easy it was too.

I have had a long time love affair with Vintaj and their intricately detailed antique brass pieces but had always incorporated them into paper crafting projects. I was somewhat intimidated to try my hand at the jewelry making but when I saw the Vintaj Embossing Folders while perusing the Sizzix website,  I knew I had to give them a whirl! By simply sandwiching the blank flower and circle shapes in the special Vintaj embossing folders and running them through my Vagabond I was able to add these lovely images to the metal pieces. I used a Metal Reliefing Block to buff and polish the raised images and VOILA! Using jump rings to attach the embossed pieces to the chain along with other assorted Vintaj pieces and some beads from an old broken necklace I had in my jewelery box.

I am thinking I will have to play a lot more with these very cool Deco Embossing Folders and see what I can come up with next!

Happy Scrapping!
Trisha
