THE BIG SECRET IS OUT!!!

So... I think it's okay to now shout it out because it is up on their website:)



It's official and I am extremely honoured to share with you that I have been asked to be one of the instructors at Creative Escape in Arizona, August 26-28, 2010!

For those of you that do not know, Creative Escape is the creme de la creme of Scrapbooking events! Absolutely everything about it is first class:) Although I have never been, the reports all come back that there is not a better event ANYWHERE! 750 people from around the globe descend on an amazing resort in Arizona for one wild weekend taking classes by leading industry experts.

In the line up this year:
The one and only HEIDI SWAPP (imagine my surprise when I was in Colorado at Tattered Angels giddy with excitement over my news only to find out that Heidi was their NEW "Angel" and would be there with me for a couple of days! And I actually managed to keep my mouth shut about BOTH secrets all this time...lol!

The UBER talented Teresa Collins . I have always been a huge fan and love her fun style.

Maggie Holmes ... everything she seems to touch becomes a beautiful work of art! I cannot wait to get to know her better and maybe some of her talent will rub off :)

Pam Black... extremely creative and inspiring!

And little old me... I am still over the top excited! I am looking forward to being able to be a part of this event and know that it will be a PHENOMENAL experience:) I am still in shock that I got asked to play with these girls... WOW! I am pretty certain that Doug's (Mr. Bazzill) ears are still ringing as I squealed with delight so loudly when he called and asked if I could fit it into my schedule.... uh YES... I am pretty certain I can MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! LOL!

I have the preliminary plans for my class already and I am pretty certain the folks in attendance will be blown away with the generosity of my class sponsors! I have them in place already and am humbled by their willingness to support me and my classes:) It goes without saying that I also hope my mojo faerie is good to me and helps me create a project worthy of this type of event (no pressure, eh?!). Just kidding... I think things should come together nicely (that's me thinking positively... maybe if I keep thinking it, it will happen ;)

I have a lot to do today as we leave tomorrow to spend Christmas with my sister Deana and her family! I am so excited about this as it has been YEARS since we were together for the holidays and I do not think all of our kids have ever been together for Christmas so this will be a year to remember! My parents will be there too:) I have presents to wrap, baking to do (yes... ME! I actually plan on baking!) and packing to do. I am praying for enough hours in the day and safe roads for our trek to Calgary:)

It's official...

so this is not the GIANT secret.... only a little one. Actually, it has not really been a secret, I have just kept it on the down low for awhile till everything was sorted out:) But it sure is fun to finally shout it out. As you all know I was a part of the Tattered Angels Design team for more than a year and a half and when the term came to an end this past fall, I was a wee bit heartbroken. Yes, I would remain on as an Educator most certainly but I was sad to not really be a part of the team. Well, that disappointment did not last for long as I was given the extreme honour of being invited by Tattered Angels to be one of their GOLDEN AMBASSADORS. What does this mean? Well, really, all it means is that I am one of very few ladies who have this distinct honour and privilege and able to share my Glimmer Misting Love in this capacity! Tattered Angels feels that I am one that can represent them to paper crafters around the globe in a light in which they want to be viewed... so to the TA crew... THANKS!


In light of this, I have just posted some fun Christmas tags on the Tattered Angels Blog so be sure to run on over and check them out!

AS for it being the BIG secret I have been hinting about, NO... that is not it. Yes, it has been tough staying hush hush about their NEWEST angels... have you heard? Yeah... THE one and only Heidi Swapp has joined Tattered Angels and will be releasing her own line of products at CHA! Imagine my surprise when I went to Colorado a few weeks ago to find out I would be in her presence! YUP! I was pretty stoked as she flew in while I was there and we all had a GREAT few days! Soooooooo many fun new things on the Tattered Angels Horizon, I wish I could tell you more but alas my lips are sealed for a little while longer. I know, I know... I am such a BRAT!!! LOL!

Hoping to shout out the REALLY big news sometime soon! Trust me when I tell you that I am still over the top excited and have plans in the works for this to be out of this world fantabulous!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

well, it feels like it anyways! The temperatures in Edmonton have plummeted and we have received plenty of the white stuff over the past several days. I can't say that I am super happy about it but I am happy to be able to stay warm indoors so I won't complain too much (until I have to go outside!).

So what have I been doing to keep busy? Well... designing plenty of projects. I have something special coming up so it is in the final stages of being finished and then I can send it off. It would have been done completely BUT I went and lost an entire album. YUP! I have a horrid feeling in the pit of my stomach that it got thrown out. I checked every nook and cranny in my house a hundred times over to no avail:( So I have had to recreate however I did not take photos of it yet so I am trying to do it from memory and once you do a project once it is not fun to have to do it a second time... believe me! Oh well, it will be worth the wait!

In the meantime, I also created a fun layout for My Mind's Eye this week for our monthly challenge:) This time it featured a sketch by my good friend and uber talented Anam Stubbington:

So today, I hope to get my kids out the door for school without too much chaos so I can sit down, finish up my special project and get that shipped out today (fingers crossed!) I have a couple of samples I need to get done before the end of the week so they are off my plate n prep for next week. I get to make a special announcement on the 16th:) Stay tuned for that too!

In case you are wondering though... NO! That is not the GIGANTIC, EPIC screaming from the rooftop news yet (although it is still pretty darn good!). I am dying to tell you all but alas... I must still keep my lips sealed! It is kind of fun as I still get people asking so at least I know there are people waiting with me... lol! Oh well, I am sure that soon enough the big announcement will come:) I hope to see many of my peeps there with me (I am pretty certain there will be at least a few)!
