Ahhhh.... what a wonderful pair...

Graphic 45 and Tattered Angels make! It is not secret that I have had a sweet little love affair with Tattered Angels for quite awhile and am an extremely lucky gal to be on their design team, but over the past several months I have been introduced to Graphic 45. Their vintage inspired papers are simply breathtaking! I think I have used every single collection in a class or project of some sort... some of them even twice! I look forward to working their products into many more future classes:) Imagine my delight when I found out that the Tattered Angels and Graphic 45 Design Teams would be pairing up this month to create projects using goodies from both companies! Here is a layout I created using the Tattered Angels Embossed Glimmer Chips (Regal Collection) and the Graphic 45 Fashionista Line...


While in Holland a couple of months ago teaching for Carla (far right) at her store "Simpel Scrappen, she and her 2 friends Claudia and Karin, took me into Amsterdam for the day to see the sights. At the end of the day, we went on a canal tour as we were all so exhausted, it was nice to sit back and enjoy the view:) These papers complimented the phot beautifully!

I used the Tattered Angels Embossed Chipboarnd in it's natural state using a black ink pad to hight light the raised detailing on each of the pieces. I love the look:)

The nice thing about Graphic 45 is many of the images are good enough to stand alone as a fabulous embellishement, especially when framed in one of the Tattered Angels elements just as this pair of shoes is:)

Now we all know that I have to work in a Glimmer Mist somewhere on my project so I added a hint of shimmer to this Prima rose. Don't forget that you can add Glimmer Mist to coloured flowers as well as the plain white ones!

Now the following Keepsake box was spotlighted on the Tattered Angels Blog last week but incase you missed it, here is another view of it. This features the Babay to Bride collection from Graphic 45 and they were used to alter Tattered Angels Glimmer Kit box along with some beautiful Glimmer Glass and patterned Glimmer Chips (both from the Regal Collections). The Glimmer alphas and chips were accented with Glimmer Mist.

My Mind's Eye "BOO! TO YOU!" CHA Sneak Peek

Don't you just LOVE this time of year? the time when all of our FAVOURITE manufacturers are releasing sneak peeks of their new collections of fabulous scrapbooking goodies that will be appearing in stores near you!

I was thrilled when UPS dropped off a box bursting with totally cool My Mind's Eye goodies last week before I had to leave for my grandfathers funeral in BC. I could not resist temptation and had to break into them and create a layout right away! Now I can't show it all to you but I will show you a couple of teasers!!! I have only done one layout thus far but there will be more in time for CHA next week!!!

There are yummy double sided papers with co-ordinating die cut accessory sheets, GLITTERED chipboard (OH YEAH BABY!) and totally cool epoxy brads to match! These images are from the BOO! to you! Collection and there are a few other fun lines definitely worth checking out!

Now... CHA news... I am looking forward to heading to Orlando next week for the CHA Summer show. Not so sure if I am going to be keen on their lack of air conditioning... ugh! BUT I will love seeing all of my friends at Prima (that is who I am working and staying with) as well as numerous other pals in the industry! If you are going, be sure to stop by and say `Hi!`

Another week...

is passing by at mach speed and before you know it I will be on a plane heading to Orlando for CHA. I love heading off to these trade shows... not only do I get to see all of the yummy new products being released but I get to see some of my dearest friends who I really only get to see a couple of times a year. I will be working at Prima again this time so if you are there... be sure to stop by! I would LOVE to see you:) Without a doubt, Prima will have some amazing new releases and I am looking forward to seeing them up close and personal... PLUS! I love the crew from Prima... an amazing group of people who are always so much fun to hang with! It should be a great week:)

But I will also be popping over to the Tattered Angels booth quite a bit! I am so fortunate to be on their design team. They truly are an amazing company to be associated with and the girls simply ROCK! So I completed my first batch of assignments last week (on time too... phew!) and while waiting for my second box of goodies from them I began to play with their brand new Chip Tiles and Bingo Cards as well as the new fall colors of Glimmer Mist. The project I finished up has thrilled me to bits and I am pretty certain that it has become one of my favourites thus far:) Here is a little sneak peek and if you want to see more, head on over to the Tattered Angels Blog. July is going to be a FABULOUS month!

So many things are happening or about to happen and I can't wait to share all of the details with you! First up...

SCRAPTIVITY

I have the privilege of being their Guest Designer this month! Yup! They have a fabulous kit club full of yummy product and I LOVED playing with it this week to create my project:) The theme was encapsulation so I tried a couple of fun things... first, I used the letter packaing to form a memorabelia holder on my layout and then I used Glossy Accents to encapsulate letters within a seashell. Kind of cool, eh? Well... maybe no but it is different! What I also LOVED about this kit is that I got to use products by other manyfacturers that I would not typically use. With my class schedule so insane, I rarely have time to use goodies by companies other than who I teach for and it always disappoints me... but this time I DID get to play and I love the results! I should also mention that the owners of Scraptivity, Barb and Tony, have invited me to come and teach at their brick and mortar store "BIZZY B'S" in September out in Toronto! I will doing several classes that you are sure to love and the amazing Jackie Ludlage of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine will be joining me! Can you say SUPER FUN WEEKEND ahead?! I will be posting the details on that event soon so keep checking back for the details as they are all finalized!!! Here is a pic that I treasure from CHA this past January in Anaheim. We had so much fun (in fact too much fun according to my other pics;) but this one is relatively tame so I thought I would share it with you! Wanna see how crazy we can get? Okay... so you want to know about some other cool things this month? Well, CHA is always cool!

I did not think I would be going this time as it is in Orlando and well... I just did not see it happening this time. I was WRONG! Prima called me a couple of weeks ago and asked me to come back to be a part of the show with them! As always, I was thrilled and look forward to a fabulous week with the amazing group of people who make up this super cool company! While at the show, I also look forward to seeing so many of my friends and and colleagues and hopefully we have a chance to catch up a wee bit! Prima's booth is AWAYS busy at CHA as everyone knows that there will be some amazing products! Be sure to stop by and say HI if you are there... I would LOVE to see ya:)

This week, I have completed 2 mini albums and an altered item that I will be sharing on the Tattered Angels blog soon! The altered item is actually one of the Glimmer Kit boxes that has been covered with Graphic 45 papers and Tattered Angels Glimmer Chips and Glimmer Glass embellishments and oodles of Glimmer Mist (of course!)

There are still a few things I want to do with this project just to take it to the next level (ay ay ay!) but that is okay... I will share this sneak peek for now and you will see the rest of it soon!

Speaking of Graphic 45... you all know how much I LOVE their papers and embellishments! I have used quite a few of their collections over the past few months in various classes around the globe so I was undoubtedly thrilled when they mentioned that they had chosen be to be their spotlighted artist this week! Be sure to check out their blog... it should be up sometime on Friday, July 3...

What else.......... hmmmmmmmmmm! Well, as far as work stuff is concerned, that is probably it for now. EXCEPT for that My Mind`s Eye FINALLY has a BLOG! You need to check that out too AND there are a tonne of giveaways so enjoy the bits of eye candy there!

I plan on doing a whole lot of scrapping today so stay tuned for some more fun projects over the next few days!
